Long-Tail Keywords and Metadata

Long-tail search queries have one more important aspect. You can surely optimize your content with these keywords, but they are not very helpful with your findability and visibility. That means, that you need to do some extra work, so that your users/potential customers can easily find you and click on your website link, when it appears in the SERPs page in organic way. You need to persuade them by yourself.

When people come to your website, you get a wonderful and only opportunity to engage them and to make them at least like your website enough, to visit it again in the future. But let’s not rush too forward, you still need to persuade them in their “natural habitat”, search engines. You just need to do one thing: research your queries and change your metadata, optimizing it with phrases, that “call to action”.
At the same time, you may wonder what that so called “metadata” is. This term describes information that is about particular website or page that appears within the header.
You can’t notice metadata on your website itself, but crawlers can find and use it to give you a proper ranking in the search engines (yes, crawlers “work” for search engines). If your metadata is relevant and appeals to the theme of your website, it improves your rankings in the SERPs and gives you possibility to attract more traffic.
Metadata can offer three types of information that can be found on your website.
1)    Title tag: These is the title of one exact page. It can be different from article’s headline, but it can also be the same, it all depends on you. Make sure your search query appears on your title tag, because if people see it on SERPs page, they will probably click on it to get to your website.
2)    Meta description: This usually explains to users and search engines, what is your website. How would people on search engines understand that you are a small company, that sells sugar? Of course through meta tags. It's always good to captivate people's attention with 2-3 sentences.
3)    Meta keywords: This element doesn’t actually have any kind of connection with your page rankings. It’s not a good idea to fill up your website with different keywords.
As long as you write your meta tag and meta description persuasively, and mention your target search term in a natural way, you’ll get higher chances of getting to the highest position on SERPs and dominate the sector.
